The Biggest Thanks EVER!!

Hello guys!! Today i just wanted to share with you my excitement and just talk with you a little bit! So, two days ago, on the 24 of October, this little blog turned 1 month old!! =D When i started it was so hard because i had no idea how to create a blog or even what to post on it. Lets not even mention the part of were i had no idea how to let people know about this blog. At first i had ideas i thought people would probably like, but then i realized that i wanted to write something i was interested in and the right people would come along! I didn't realize that there were actually people out there that would be interested in reading what a 16 year old girl wrote in the comfort of her bedroom but oh my god! You guys blew my mind because already so many of you read my weird posts! I just wanted to take a minute to thank you all soooo much whether you found out about my blog today, yesterday or three weeks ago!! You are awesome!

What i love most about blogging is that i am able to express my self and connect with so many awesome people. In just one month i connected with a lot of amazing bloggers and youtubers with the same passion as me, to entertain! Blogging became a bigger part of me than what i thought it would and i don't think i will be stopping any time soon! I just want to become better and better and hopefully we will get more people to join this journey!
Again i want to thank all of you soo freaking much for reading this weird blog and i will see you all next time with a new post! Love ya! :))

What You Shouldn't Wear For Halloween

Hello guys! So, Halloween is just around the corner and even though we don't celebrate it here in Cyprus it's still a pretty cool holiday! When i thought of Halloween i always imagined, witches and pumpkins and spider webs and creepy staff but then i came across these weird costumes people actually wore for Halloween. I was so amazed that people were actually willing to wear staff like that and even post pictures about them online that i felt as if i had to show you guys what you should never wear on Halloween. So, here we go!!

5 Scary Serial Killers Still On The Loose

Hello guys! So on this post i wanted to spook you guys a little bit -since Halloween is right around the corner - and talk a little about serial killers! When you think of serial killers, you don't really imagine that there could be some walking around us but you are terribly wrong. Some of the scariest, freakiest, most horrifying serial killers still exist and they are on the loose as we are talking. Better keep an eye for these ones.

1. Karla Homolka

Karla Homolka, the one half of the couple that haunted Canada. Together with her husband Paul Bernardo raped and murdered multiple women, icluding Karla's sister. The couple was discovered in 1993 and Homolka turned over evidence about her husband in exchange for a reduced sentence. She was released in 2003 after serving just 12 years in prison.


2.Pedro López

As one of the scariest serial killers in History, Pedro raped and murdered hundreds of woman in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. He was caught in 1980 but only served 14 years in Ecuadorian prison. When he was released he spend 3 years in a mental house in Colombia and was declared sane in 1998. He in now a free man and suspected of more murders in Colombia.


3. Nikolai Dzhumagaliev

This man murdered and ate the remains of at least seven woman (the number is said to be closer to 50) in the Soviet Union. He was known as the Metal Fang since he had replaced hie teeth with white, metal ones. He was caught in 1989, escaped in 1989, was recaptured and was released after only 10 years of psychological evaluation.


4, Nikita Fouganthine

This Swedish serial killer, murdered three people in 1988 but was caught soon after. Even though he got a life time sentence in a Finnish prison he managed to escape in 1994. During this time he held a teacher as a hostage but was again caught soon after that. He was able to escape and get caught an other 3 times in 2002, 2004 and 2006. In 2011 he escaped from prison and he has been on the lam ever since.


5. Arnfinn Nesset

Norwegian serial killer is responsible for the death of 22 people of his patience and attempted to kill more. He worked as a nurse and poisoned his patience with a muscle relaxer during the 80s. In Norway the maximum time for a prisoner at that time was 21 years, however he only served 12 of his sentence. He was released under parole terms, which have since expired. He is currently still living in Norway.


So umm, yeah, i'm kinda spooked out and will probably be keeping a distance from smiley creepy faces. If you thought that serial killers and all that belonged to the past well i'm sorry to break it to you but it seems as that is far from reality. Which one seemed the scariest to you? Animal Cruelty Is Real

Hello guys! On this post i wanted to do something different and a little more heart touching than my other posts. Basically i want to refer to animal cruelty and especially on the topic of abandoning animals. Before i begin, if you are not an animal lover then it's ok! I just want to refer to some things i feel are unacceptable not just because i am an animal lover but because i want to help make our world a little bit better.

So, story time! This afternoon, after my mom picked me up from school, we drove to my sister's school to pick her up as well. As we parked our car, a little black dog, which obviously didn't feel the taste of food for quite some time, straggled to walk out of the little field opposite the school. It was all dirty, hungry and probably sick. My mom saw it and it was in such a bad condition that she felt sorry for it. She took my bottle of water and went to give it some water to drink. The poor thing was scared but so pleased to see that somebody was willing to help it! My mom felt so sorry for it that she took it and placed it in the car. She said it's coming with us! You can not imagine how happy the little dog was! It was wagging it's tail and laid on my sister's lap so quietly. The whole scene was too overwhelming, i can only imagine how the poor, little dog was feeling.

The dog is currently in our yard with food, water and a little doggy house for it to sleep inside. My first thought when finding the dog, though, was how is it ever possible for the owner to not provide these essentials for his dog. When you decide to adopt a dog you provide it a home. Pet's need a lot more than just a home, for example let's say food? Water? Yes, shocking i know! Animals have certain needs to survive too. When you decide to adopt a dog you should keep this in mind.

The subject of animal cruelty bathers me so much because, in Cyprus, laws against it are very few to almost none existing. People adopt a puppy only to it them loose after a couple months. If you take a five minute drive around my neighborhood you will probably see around 5-10 loose dogs and i'm not even exaggerating. This is just a small neighborhood in a small country of one continent of the whole globe. Can you just imagine how many abandoned animals exist worldwide? How many of them die from lack of food or water, from a careless driver who didn't notice them in the middle of the street, from those dirty twisted minds of people actually torturing them to their deaths? We take action against human cruelty, why not animal cruelty as well? 

I wrote this post not to brag that i'm an animal lover and i help animals. I'm not even trying to tell you to adopt animals you find on the street. For goodness sake i'm not even asking you to love animals! I'm just asking to give them some sympathy and never allow for cruelty to exist.  When you do see a dog out in the street alone, please check if it has a collar with a number on it or take it to the vet to check if it has a microchip in it with all the information you need to find the owner. Never, and i say NEVER torture an animal in any way including hitting it, kicking it or even scaring it. If you do own a pet make sure to neuter it (is this how it's called? it think so!). This way it wont make any more babies and it will be more calm.

I do understand that we probably didn't make any difference in animal cruelty by saving this one dog, but i know that we did make a big deference in this dog's life! We gave it a chance to live and that is priceless! When people tell you that one person is never enough to change the world, you better tell them that one person is all it takes. Weird Laws Around The Globe

Hello guys! So on this post i thought it would be good to show you that not all people have the gift of common scene. I gathered up some of the weirdest laws from all over the globe and shared them here with you! Just imagine that there were people to whom these laws where addressed to. So let's just get to it shall we?

1. In 29 states in the US, it's legal to fire someone for being gay.
2. In Thailand it's illegal to step on money.
3.  In Arkansas there is a law from the 1800's saying that a husband is allowed to beat his wife, but only once a month.
4. In Britain you are not allowed to let your pet mate with any pet from the royal house.
5. In France, it's stated as illegal to marry a dead person. Wait, does this mean that you can marry a dead person in other parts of the world?
6. In Pennsylvania, it's illegal to tie a dollar bill to a string on the ground and pull it away when someone tries to pick it up.
7. In Turin, Italy, dog owners must take their dogs on a walk at least three times a day.
8. In Sweden, Iceland and Norway, it's illegal to be found buying the services of a prostitute, even though prostitution is legal. So this means that prostitutes themselves are not breaking the law.
9. In Victoria, Australia, it is illegal to change a light bulb unless you’re a licensed electrician.
10. Bangladeshi students of 15 years and up, can be sent to jail for cheating in their final exams.
11. In Florida, it's illegal for a divorced or a widowed woman to skydive on a Sunday afternoon.
12. In Switzerland, it's illegal to flush a toilet after 10 pm.
13. In Canada, any comic book that shows illegal activity is banned.
14. In China, it's a law that a person must be intelligent to go to college.
15. In France, it's illegal to name a pig Napoleon.
16. In Portugal, it’s against the law to pee in the ocean.
17. In Singapore, chewing gum is illegal.
18. In Finland, Donald Duck comics were once banned because he never wore pants.
19. In Danville, Pennsylvania, all fire hydrants must be checked one hour before all fires. Makes total sense.
20. In Kentucky, it’s illegal to paint your lawn red.
21. In Italy, anyone considered “obese” is forbidden from wearing polyester.
22. I Alabama, it's illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while driving.
23. In Burma, having internet access is illegal. If a person is found to own a modem, he can be imprisoned.
24. n Iceland it was once against the law to own a pet dog.

25.I n Turkey, during the 16th and 17th centuries, it was illegal to drink coffee and anyone caught doing so was sentenced to death.

26. In Arizona, it's illegal to hunt camels.

27. The head of any dead whale found on the British coast is legally the property of the king; the tail, on the other hand, belongs to the queen — in case she needs the bones for her corset.

28. In Iowa, it's illegal to kiss for more than five minutes.

29. In Venice all gondolas have to be painted black unless they belong to a high ranking official.

30. In Denmark it is not illegal for a convicted prisoner to escape from prison. If the escapee is caught he only serves the rest of his sentence.

1. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START BLOGGING?

So, i started blogging just nearly 3 weeks ago so i'm relatively new at this! What inspired me to start though is Zoe Sugg or otherwise known as Zoella. I was (and am) really into Youtube but didn't know how to get started and also i'm really shy so i thought that a blog would be the perfect way for me to get started! So well, thank you Zoe!

2. WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?

Hmm let me see.. I would say starting out this blog! Yeah i know, i haven't done very much in my life yet but i feel that starting out this blog is my greatest accomplishment. For some it might be just a blog but for me it's a symbol of starting out something that I love and not just sitting around doing what other people think is "the best thing for me". Blogging is a way for me to express my self in a way no one can really understand, and i'm really proud of my self for being able to do that!

3. WHAT'S THE ONE THING YOU WOULD TELL YOUR HIGH SCHOOL SELF IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME?

The funny thing is that i'm still in High School, but the one thing i would like to tell my self now is, "Stop procrastinating Irene. Just stop it!"

4. FAVORITE SONG?

My favorite artist is Taylor Swift but i'm deeply in love with Ed Sheeran's "I'm a mess"

5. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACHIEVE IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS?

I would really love to be done with college by that time. And because, dream big or go home, i hope to have a successful blog, a solid Youtube channel with a few thousand subscribers and that special one by my side! I'm a girl with a plan people!

6. WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE WRITERS BLOCK?

Is this when you have no clue of what to write and just can't come up with original ideas?
I actually had this, this week and wasn't sure what to write for my blog. Thank go this award saved me! :p When it happens though i usually get inspired by everyday life or find an interesting idea another blogger wrote about. Simple as that!

7. FAVORITE PASS-TIME?

I hope i don't sound too dumb but i wasn't sure what this question meant :s The way i understand this though is favorite thing to do in my free time? Probably not, i'm so sorry you guys. Anyway internet is the way i spend my free hours! This is probably too embarrassing for me to handle right now..well i hope i brought a smile on some people's faces :p

8. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HAVING YOUR FAVORITE WARDROBE OR MAKEUP COLLECTION WHICH WOULD IT BE?

It would definitely be the wardrobe! It's just super hard for me to find clothing that i actually like and i maybe kinda hate shopping. Plus i never get anything unless it's on sale so give me the wardrobe i would love and i'm gonna be your best friend!

9. WHERE WOULD YOU GO FOR AN ULTIMATE WEEKEND GETAWAY AND WHAT MUST HAVE ITEM WOULD YOU BRING?

Oh my, this one is hard! I want to go everywhere, like in every corner of this planet! But if i had to choose i would definitely go to Venice. I mean, come on, it's a city in water! I've seen pictures and it's absolutely beautiful. My must have item would be my camera. I would just take pictures of everything, every single little thing i would take a picture of! Venice, my camera and i are on our ways!

10. WHO INSPIRES YOU MOST?

Well, the person who inspires me the most is Taylor Swift. I know she is a celebrate and all but that isn't at all the reason she inspires me. The thing about her is that she was really bullied thought out her school years yet she never gave up dreaming and hoping and fight for who she wanted to be. She never listened to what other people had to say and she made it! That's the person i want to become. The person who will never let anyone get in between her and her dreams. Yup, Taylor is my inspiration.

11. FAVORITE PIECE OF JEWELRY AND WHY?

How did we ever get to the last question this fast? So, my favorite jewelry, you ask? I would say it's a ring my grandmother gave me last summer when we visited her in Finland. I never use it but the reason i love it is because she wanted me to keep it and pass it on to my daughter and my daughter to her daughter and so on. It has great sentimental value to me and i just hope i don't loose it until the time to pass it on comes!

8 Everyday Products You Were Using Wrong Your Whole Life

Hello guys! So i was scrolling down my news feed on Facebook the other day and i came across a video that basically shocked me! The video was actually demonstrating the proper way to eat a Toblerone chocolate. I was amazed on how wrong i was eating it my whole life and wondered what else i could be possible using wrong. When i researched the topic i discovered way to many things that i was using wrong and knew that well, everyone did! So without any further ado, here are some things you were using wrong your hole life and had no idea!



1. How to eat Toblerone [apparently] the proper way.





















So umm, yeah! This is how you are supposed to eat a piece of Toblerone without straggling! You simply press the piece down instead of up and there you go! Simple as that.



2. You can use soda tabs to hold your straw.

If you turn the tab around it can stop your straw from raising out of the can while the soda fizzes.



3. Ketchup cups can fit more ketchup than you think!

You can pull apart the edges of the cup to make the container twice the size! This way you don't need to refill plus you can fit more chips in there!

4. Aluminium foils have this little trick.

Without being sure how many brands of aluminium foil actually have this feature, it seems like if you press the little triangle inside, it holds the aluminium roll in place so it doesn't drop out every time you try to cut a piece!

Even though this is more of a life hack it's still awesome! You can roll the bottom of your snack bag to make sure you have easy access to your little snack!



6. You're using bobby pins the wrong way.

I know what you're thinking..WHAT? Yes, you were actually using bobby pins wrong your whole life. The reason for putting the wavy side downwards instead of upwards is because this way you get more hair and make sure your bobby pin stays in place!


7. You are using the wrong plunger.


















Even though this is the most common plunger you are suppose to use it only for sinks. The proper toilet plunger is this one:




















8. The real use of a juice box's side flaps.

The flaps on a juice box does actually have a purpose and it's so children can hold them. This is so they don't squeeze the juice box and spill all the juice on them! Better admit that this trick would have saved you a lot of t-shirts when you were younger!

I guess music is a kind of drug, the best kind of drug! So today i have gathered some of the best facts about music i could get my hands on and listed them down just for you! 1. Music doesn't only affect your mood but also you heartbeat! Depending on the kind of music you listen your body reacts to it accordingly making your heart beat faster or slower.

3. American composer John Cage composed a work in 1952 titled "4'33", which, wait for it, consists of four minutes and thirty-three seconds of absolute silence!

4. The song "Happy Birthday To You" is not a public-domain composition. A performance fee must be paid every time it is used for commercial purposes!

5. Originally, the first line of the famous song "White Christmas" was "I'm sitting by a pool Beverly Hills dreaming of a White Christmas." A friend of the songwriter suggested he should drop the reference to Beverly Hills, and the song became the most commercially successful song ever!

October Essentials #1

Hello guys! October is finally here! Just two more months for Christmas =D If you haven't already guessed i am very exited for cold weather to finally be here so i wanted to share some of my October essentials to get you through the season! 

1. My absolute favorite knitted jacket.

Oh my! I have been waiting for so long to be able to wear this! I have a real thing for knitted jackets or anything knitted actually and think that this season is perfect for them! They just add that Autumn feel to your look, plus they are so warm yet light. Agh, just love them!

2. "Match Perfection" powder and foundation by Rimmel. 

Now the thing about me is that i have a really oily skin so make-up never stays on my face and after an hour it looks oily and disgusting. I have been using this brand for some time now and i am soo happy with it! It stays in place for hours and my skin doesn't look oily at all. I use it in the "light nude" shade for the foundation and the "warm beige" shade for the powder. Plus it's so light and it almost feels as if nothing is on your face so i'm totally in love with it!

3. This lovely travel mug.

So i'm a big coffee lover but never have enough time to drink a cup in the morning before i leave for school. This thing is an absolute lifesaver! I take it with me at school everyday and have plenty of coffee to keep me through the day. You can put about 2 cups of coffee in there, hot or warm! I think you can practically find these anywhere and they are relatively cheap! 

4. Essence lipstick.

I'm not sure if you guys can see how dark this color is in the picture but in real life it's just beautiful! It's from "Essence" and in the color "09 Wear Berries!" (yes there's an exclamation mark in it's name). I thought it would be great for a night out with friends and since it is sort of a deeper color i would probably use lighter make-up with it. Oh, that "e" ? Yeah, i kinda loved that!

5. An over-sized hand bag.

So, i bought this bag on sale when i went to Finland so i'm not sure you can find the exact one. The store's name was "Halpa-Halli" so i guess you can check that out. Anyway, i think over-sized bags are perfect for this season and i kinda tend to put a lot of things in my bag so this is great! If you look closely, you may see that the inside of the bag is blue with black polka dots. Even though no one will see it i really loved it and thought it was just great. 

6, My winter hat.

Ok, so technically it's it's not winter yet BUT the weather is kinda chilly, especially at night time. Maybe you won't be able to get to use it too much but still i think it's great for those chilly nights. Basically it's just a simple black knitted hat you can find all over the place! I loved this one because not a lot of these hats look good on me but this one does!

7. This kitten notebook!

So, i know that probably no one will care about this one but come on!! It's just adorable! I just love cats so this notebook was pretty perfect for me. I get to use it a lot so, yeah. It is one of the things i will be using all October long! ^.^
